Job Description

Position Summary Provides coaching and support to Machine Shop Team Members while also supporting the fabrication of tooling, stretcher jaws and other maintenance and engineering requests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ability to operate all Machine Shop equipment, including but not limited to: CNC Controlled Machines and manual machining centers.Programs CNC controlled equipment.Participates in regularly scheduled Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.Reads and draws blue prints and geometric dimensions and tolerance. Maintains inventory of raw materials, machine tools and production equipment tooling.Works with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to define schedule priorities.Performs set up and change overs on all machines in the department.Supports Value Stream Leader in the coaching and development of Team MembersInvolved in 6s and Continuous Improvement related activities.Keeps shop in neat and orderly. Competencies: Ability to work in a team environment Ability to take direction and work independently, when needed. Are confident in their skills and abilities; but are able to ask for assistance when needed. Ability to lead by example Qualifications: Degree from a technical school with a concentration in CNC programming (CNC Machinist certificate or diploma), preferred or combination of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment and education (High School Diploma/GED minimum). Technology and Equipment: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge of: Windows operating systems & programsCNC codes and Equipment/G CodeSolid WorksEspirit Software programsMicrometers, calipers and other measuring devices. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Also may be exposed to fumes or dust.
